Mavuika Basic Information
Mavuika is a 5-star Pyro Claymore character in Genshin Impact. Recognized as a formidable character, Mavuika can be played both as DPS and Sub-DPS. Her major function is as a field-based Main DPS, where her mechanics and damage output are superb, cementing her status as the current meta's best Pyro character.
Despite her conservative design, her low activation threshold and high damage amplification provide her a huge advantage over prior backline Pyro supports when partnered with a Natlan Main DPS.

Kit Overview
Starting with Mavuika's Normal Attack Flames Weave Life, nothing special to see here, just Mavuika performs claymore strikes.
However, her Elemental Skill is where it gets interesting because it has two modes. First off, she will gain up to 80 Nightsoul with a 5 per second drain which means it has a total duration of 16s.
If you tap it, you will deal Pyro damage every 2 seconds by creating a ring behind the character, this requires no action to be performed and the ring will stay even when switched out. If you hold it, Mavuika will start riding her motorcycle and all her attacks will deal with Pyro DMG.
Mavuika's Elemental burst is unique. Unlike any other character, she doesn't need Element energy, instead she uses Fighting Spirit. She can hold up to 200 Fighting Spirit which can be obtained in various ways. Nightsoul points consumed by any party member converted to Fighting Spirit and each NA hit of any team member gives 1.5 Fighting Spirit to Mavuika.
Once you reach 100 Fighting Spirit, the Ultimate can be used. After using the burst, she will obtain 10 Nightsoul points and enter into the Nightsoul Blessing state. The burst does a big Pyron Nuke DMG -- one of the strongest ones in Genshin Impact due to the fact that it can melt or vaporize.
She would also enter the Crucible of Death and Life state for 7s. This state will pause her Nightsoul consumption and also increase her NA, CA, and burst damage based on the FS points consumed. This counts as a multiplier increase and is not something like a damage bonus. 100 Fighting Spirit increases her DPS by around 40%.
Her Ascension 1 will give her a 30% attack after using a Nightsoul burst which is just a straight-up damage increase. For her Ascension 4, after using her Elemental burst for every point of FS she will increase the damage of the current active character by 0.2% up to 40% for 20s. This buff decays over time during the 20 seconds duration until it reaches 0.
Talent & Stats Priority
1. Talent Priority
For Mavuika's talent priority, we start with her Ultimate which is where the majority of her multipliers come from and after that, we level up her skill is obviously also a very big part of her multipliers.
Mavuika's Normal Attack has separate multipliers tied to her Elemental Skill. So you don't need to level her Normal Attack. You can switch between the two forms using the Elemental Skill.
So short for the talent priority: Q.Elemental Burst > E.Elemental Skill >> Normal Attack.
2. Main Stats
Sand: Elementary Mastery / ATK
Goblet: Pyro DMG Bonus
Circlet: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
3. Substats Priority
Mavuika has a unique system for her Burst. She doesn't need any energy recharge, so focus on only the offensive stats. Here is the recommended priority for main DPS: Elementary Mastery > Pyro > Crit Damage. And for Sub DPS: ATK > Pyro > Crit Damage.

Best Artifact Sets
1. Best Option
Obsidian Codex
- 2-Pc: While the equipping character is in Nightsoul's Blessing and is on the field, their DMG dealt is increased by 15%.
- 4-Pc: After the equipping character consumes 1 Nightsoul point while on the field, CRIT Rate increases by 40% for 6s. This effect can trigger once every second.
Just like any Ntlan DPS, 4-PC Obsidian Codex is the best slot if you have Furina in your team.
2. Great Option
Marechaussee Hunter
- 2-Pc: Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15%
- 4-Pc: When current HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate will be increased by 12% for 5s. Max 3 stacks.
Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City
- 2-Pc: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy.
- 4-Pc: After the equipping character triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all nearby party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 20s. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field, and the DMG bonus from Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack.
You could use Cinder City for DPS to buff a teammate but that's not worth it. However, it is worth it if you use an off-field Mavuika which is you use Mavuika as a Sub-DPS.
3. Good Option
Gilded Dreams
- 2-Pc: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
- 4-Pc: Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each party member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for every party member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the aforementioned buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.
Crimson Witch of Flames
- 2-Pc: Pyro DMG Bonus +15%
- 4-Pc: Increases Overloaded, Burning, and Burgeon DMG by 40%. Increases Vaporize and Melt DMG by 15%. Using Elemental Skill increases the 2-Piece Set Bonus by 50% of its starting value for 10s. Max 3 stacks.
Rotation for Main DPS
Her rotation starts by using the tap version of her Elemental Skill which will deal Pyro DMG to apply Pyro required for setups and generate FS then switch to your Support character to do their rotation.
When you do that, use Mavuika's Elemental Burst to enhance her damage and do either NA or CA. Her CA has higher multipliers which becomes more noticeable in Vape or Melt teams as she can amplify these big hits. NA can be used when you pair her with Sub-DPS like Yelan and Xingqiu which require NA to trigger their attacks.
For short, it is E Tap → Support Character → Elemental Burst → CA/NA.
Main DPS Teams
1. Vape Team: Mavuika, Furina, Xilonen, Bennett
Furina: She is enough to consist of bigger vapes and also gives a good damage percent buff.
Xilonen: Her Nightsoul mechanic enables Mavuika to stack Source Samplers and exploit elemental resistance shred, amplifying her Pyro damage as a Main DPS in Genshin Impact.
Bennett: His exceptional attack buff the Pyro resonance and his C6 buffing Pyro damage bonus just makes him way too good with Mavuika to skip out on.
2. Melt Team: Mavuika, Xilonen, Citlali, Bannett
Xilonen: The generic best support and generates the most amount of Fighting Spirit for Mavuika.
Citalali: Enables Mavuika's Melt teams while also providing Fighting Spirit.
Bannett: He increases Mavuika's damage with his Pyro skills, triggers Melt reactions and provides healing to keep the team fighting.
Mavuika prefers Citlali when it comes to the best Melt partners. Otherwise, you can utilize other off-field Cryo characters, such as Rosaria or Ganyu, as long as you have another Natlan in your team.
3. Overload Team: Mavuika, Ororon, Chevreuse, Bennett
Chevreuse is the standard buffer in an Overloaded squad, however, Mavuika will require another Natlan character. Ororon is usually the default Natlan character here till we have another option in the future.
Sub-DPS Builds
1. Vape Team: Mavuika, Mualani, Candace, Xilonen
Mavuika is a reliable alternative for Xiangling on most Vaporize teams that require Pyro application, especially since she can run as your lone Pyro.
2. Doule-Geo Team: Mavuika, Xilonen, Bennett, Navia
Mavuika's off-field offensive is significantly more reliable than that of someone like Xiangling, which gives Navia's strongest teams a significant advantage. Because you will most likely require Xilonen in this team, it will also provide you with the requisite Fighting Spirit and Geo Resonance points.
3. Burning Team: Mavuika, Kinich, Emilie, Bennett
Kinich and Emilie's finest teams now contain Mavuika as their best Pyro applicator to maintain the Burning aura against adversaries. Even in the absence of Xilonen, Kinich is sufficient to recharge Mavuika's Fighting Spirit.
Conclusion
As an Archon, Mavuika has a lot of hype to fulfill and she does a very good job at it. She is well done at pulling up the Natland roster while also giving herself a unique identity within the game's meta.
