Aglaea Overview

Aglaea, the leader of Amphoreus’ Holy City, carries the romantic flame and is the first 5-star limited character of the Remembrance path in HSR. She is a Lighting element character, positioned as a main DPS in a summon-based system.

Much like the Remembrance Trailblazer, her Memosprite is treated as an independent entity, possessing its own HP and skills, which can alleviate some of the survival pressure. Memosprite can absorb damage, essentially taking some of the hits for Aglaea. Whether the Garmentmaker is attacking or receiving damage, it helps Aglaea recover energy.

Playstyle

As a Lightning-element character of the Path of Remembrance, Aglaea’s kit resembles a Lightning version of Firefly, focusing on high-speed multi-hit attacks through her summon, the Garmentmaker (a Memosprite). However, she requires a warm-up phase to maximize her speed via Garmentmaker’s actions.

Aglaea's attack mode is similar to the Destruction Path's three-target blast damage, giving her decent mob-clearing capabilities. In practice, she heavily relies on her Ultimate to enter the Supreme Stance for damage output. Like Firefly, she has a countdown timer, and once it ends, she exits the enhanced state, and her summon disappears. For the Garmentmaker, this means needing to be resummoned and going through the warm-up process again.

However, we can extend the Supreme Stance by using her Ultimate again before it ends. That said, cycling her Ultimate with its high 350-energy cost poses a significant challenge. If we can solve these two issues, Aglaea can achieve a "perpetual motion" state with her Ultimate, making her a universal solution for all three endgame environments: Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Swarm Disaster.

If you’ve been deeply captivated by Aglaea’s charm, now is the best time to pull for her! LDShop has prepared an exclusive affordable Honkai Star Rail top-up for you, offering super discounts and limited-time offers to help you easily and affordably secure this T0 DPS without the worry of losing the 50/50!

Trace Priority

We can tell from Aglaea's kit that her Normal Attack is her main source of damage. Upgrading her skill Rise, Exalted Renown only increases the healing of her Memosprite and is rarely used in practice, so it is not necessary to level it up. Other skills, including the Memosprite's skill, affect damage output and should be maxed out. The Talent has minimal impact on damage output but affects Memosprite's HP, so it is recommended to level it up to around 7 or 8.

Therefore, the recommended trace priority is Normal Attack > Ultimate > Memosprite Skill > Memosprite Talent > Talent.

Increases the wearer's base SPD by 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20. After the wearer and the wearer's Memosprite attacks, they receive 1 stack of "Brocade." Each stack of "Brocade" increases CRIT DMG by 15% / 17.5% / 20% / 22.5% / 25%, stacking up to 3 times. When reaching the maximum stacks, each "Brocade" stack will additionally increase DMG dealt by Basic ATK by 15% / 17.5% / 20% / 22.5% / 25%.

It is the only Light Cone that increases base SPD so far, making it perfect for Aglaea. It's also a pure numerical Light Cone, which means Aglaea is designed to be a high-speed, direct DMG dealer that thrives on CRIT Rate and CRIT damage.

These three alternatives, Light Cones, can all increase Aglaea's damage output, but they only come close to the performance of the Signature Light Cone when stacked at level 5. So, instead of looking for a sub-tier Light Cone, it's better to go for the Signature one.

Aglaea's Team

For Aglaea, the key consideration isn't actually who provides the highest support buffs. Aglaea herself already has acceleration and extremely high attack power bonuses. Instead, the real focus should be on how to ensure that Aglaea can continuously activate her ultimate without interruption.

Main DPS: Aglaea

hsr aglaea

Best partner: Sunday

hsr aglaea best teammate

In Aglaea's team composition, Sunday is a must-have, and ideally, you should aim for an E1 Sunday. With an E1 Sunday, you can achieve three actions and one ultimate activation, which indirectly ensures Aglaea's ultimate loop as well.

Sunday's speed buffs not only apply to Aglaea but also to her Memosprite. The quick actions of both Aglaea and her Memosprite help to recharge energy faster.

Additionally, Sunday's ultimate has an auran Effect that provides CRIT damage bonuses, which Aglaea and her Memosprite can benefit from almost throughout the entire battle. Therefore, Sunday and Aglaea have an excellent synergy, making Sunday a staple teammate for Aglaea.

Healer: Huohuo / Gallagher / Fuxuan / Aventurine

aglaea teamaglaea teamaglaea teamaglaea team

Huohuo's presence impacts the energy cycle of all team members. To put it simply, without Huohuo, you'd need to allocate at least E1 Aglaea's. Essentially, in an E0 setup, Huohuo is indispensable for Aglaea's survival role, with no viable substitutes.

However, if you have Aglaea with more than E1, Huohuo isn't an absolute necessity but remains the top choice for the healer role. If you don't have Huohuo, other healers can fill in. For example, if you're lacking skill points, bring Gallagher; if you need a higher CRIT Rate, bring Fuxuan or a healer that matches the current stage's weaknesses to help break through defenses.

It's worth noting that if your Aglaea is equipped with Aventurine, you'll need to pay extra attention to the duration of the shield. Due to Aglaea's high-speed, multi-action playstyle, you don't want her or her Memosprite to run out of the shield while they're active. This requires particular caution.

Support: Robin / Remembrance Trailblazer / Ruanmei / Tribbie

aglaea teamaglaea teamaglaea teamaglaea team

When it comes to the "triple support" team setup, Robin must be mentioned. With the synergy between Sunday and Robin's dual speed-ups, the team can achieve multiple actions at the same time. Especially for Aglaea's Garmentmaker (Memosprite), who, being a Memosprite, can also benefit from Robin's ultimate, which helps create more actions and boosts Aglaea’s energy cycling.

For Robin, who has a relatively large energy gap, Aglaea and her garmentmaker’s multiple actions also help Robin charge faster. If you add Huo Huo to the mix, you’ll create an energy "perpetual motion".

Next, we have the Remembrance Trailblazer, unlocked during the 3.0 storyline. This character provides nearly 50% independent damage increase, which helps Aglaea avoid the dilution issue caused by Sunday's attack buffs. As a free-to-play character, the Remembrance Trailblazer can still offer auxiliary support that rivals limited 5-star characters. It’s important to note that it works best with E1 Aglaea.

Unlike other supports, which may struggle with coverage or buff durations, Ruanmei excels as an aura-based support. With no pressure on buff duration, she can easily achieve full coverage, providing 10% acceleration, damage increase, and resistance reduction—all essential to Aglaea. The dilution issue is minimal, which allows Ruanmei to offer damage benefits comparable to Robin. She’s an excellent support option for Aglaea.

Finally, we should keep an eye on Tribbie, who will debut in the first half of version 3.1. Based on Tribbie's kit, she appears to be a support with added damage and resistance reduction in an aura, somewhat similar to Ruanmei. As many teams are just beginning to experiment with her, Tribbie is looking like a versatile pick for the 3.0 version. She could also be a solid choice when paired with Aglaea.

Final Thoughts

In summary, Aglaea, as the first lightning summon main DPS with the new Remembrance Path, features both an overpowered value and mechanism. Her Memosprite system not only shares damage to reduce survival pressure, but when paired with Sunday, it seamlessly activates the high-speed, multi-action mode, balancing both burst and sustain.

For free-to-play players, the free Remembrance Trailblazer provides a high independent damage increase, with flexible team composition and controllable costs. If you have Robin or Huo Huo, you can unlock a "perpetual motion" level energy cycle, drastically boosting her strength!

If you already have Sunday or plan to pull for Tribbie, Aglaea is definitely worth the investment—her fast-paced, multi-action gameplay combined with the strategic depth of the Memosprite system makes her a steal!
