Support

Robin’s gameplay revolves around her 3 main mechanics:

  • Robin’s Skill allows her to grant all allies a 3 turns Damage Increase, allowing all allies to deal more damage as long as Robin still has charges from her skill.
  • Robin’s Ultimate allows her to enter a special state that renders her immovable and can not act until her ultimate’s action bar is up. However, when Robin is in her Ultimate state, she grants all allies a massive boost to their attack stat proportional to her own Attack stat and supplement their attacks with an additional instance of Physical damage hit every time they hit enemies.
  • Robin’s abilities and passives allows her to to further boost the power of characters that uses Follow Up Attack by a decent amount by increasing their Follow Up Attack’s Critical Damage by 25%.

Trace Priorities

Robin is a support character who focuses heavily on boosting other characters’ damage output using her Skill and Ultimate. As with other support characters, leveling up her traces will result in better buff numbers and stats for all allies. The higher Robin’s trace level is, the more stats she provides to all allies.

Robin Trace Priorities

Robin’s main supporting stats and abilities comes from her Skill, Talent & Ultimate, with the Skill granting allies a damage boost, her Ultimate grants all allies an Attack buff and more damage proportional to her own Attack stat and her Talent granting all allies a Crit Damage Boost, So players need to prioritize leveling up her Skill, Talent & Ultimate.

Overall, in terms of priorities, Players should prioritize leveling up Robin’s traces in this order:

Ultimate = Skill = Talent > Normal Attacks

Bonus Abilities

All three of Robin’s bonus abilities contribute to making her job as a support character more efficient, however, some of them can be ignored if players don’t intend on using her on certain teams.

Robin Bonus Abilities

  • Her 1st Bonus Ability allows her to be action advanced by 25% at the start of the first turn the moment she enters combat, allowing her to always go first before all allies on the first turn so that she can use her skill and grants all allies the damage buff from her skill.
  • Her 2nd Bonus Ability allows her to boost the Critical Damage of Follow Up Attacks made by allies by 25% when she is in her Ultimate State. This ability allows her to grant Follow Up Attack team a massive 50% Crit Damage boost in total when used together with her Talent. However, if you don’t run Robin with a Follow Up Attack Team, this ability can be skipped to save resources.
  • Finally, her 3rd Bonus Ability grants her 5 extra energy whenever she uses her Skill, allowing her to regenerate and use her Ultimate much quicker.

Best Light Cones for Robin Builds

Robin Best in Slot Light Cone is of course, her signature Light Cone - Flowing Nightglow - and the Light Cone will be rerun alongside Robin’s rerun banner in the second half of HSR Version Update 3.0.

Flowing Nightglow (5-star Limited Light Cone)

Flowing Nightglow (5-star Limited Light Cone)

When the wearer uses their Ultimate, removes Cantillation and gains Cadenza. Cadenza increases the Wearer's ATK by 48% and increases all allies' DMG deals by 24%, lasting for 1 turn(s).

For Alternative Lightcones, players should consider the following options if they can not give Robin her signature Light Cone:

For Tomorrow's Journey (4-star Free Lightcone)

For Tomorrow's Journey (4-star Free Lightcone)

Effect: Increases the wearer's ATK by 16%. After the wearer uses their Ultimate, increases their DMG dealt by 18%, lasting for 1 turn(s).

This effect can be triggered after every 2 uses of the wearer's Ultimate. When the wearer uses their Skill, the next ally taking action deals 30% more DMG for 1 turn(s).

Relics, Ornaments & Stats

Best Relics

For Robin’s best set of Relics, since Robin only needs as much attack stats as possible and doesn’t require any additional effects, players should mix between 2 Relic sets that gives Robin Atk% upon achieving their 2-piece set effect: 2pc Musketeer of Wild Wheat + 2pc Prisoner in Deep Confinement.

Musketeer of Wild Wheat

Musketeer of Wild Wheat

  • 2-Pc: ATK increases by 12%.
  • 4-Pc: The wearer's SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.

Prisoner in Deep Confinement

Prisoner in Deep Confinement

  • 2-Pc: ATK increases by 12%.
  • 4-Pc: For every DoT the target enemy is afflicted with, the wearer will ignore 6% of the target's DEF when dealing DMG to them. This effect is valid for a max of 3 DoTs.

NOTE: For Robin, you only need to use the 2 piece set effects of the 2 relic sets above, using their 4 piece set effects won’t provide Robin with any extra benefits.

Recommended Ornaments

For Ornaments, Robin’s BiS Ornament set is dependent on which team you are using her on, but her best Relic Sets are the ones that give her 5% Energy Regeneration as its 2 pc set effects. For general usage, players should aim to give Robin the Lushaka, the Sunken Seas set.

Lushaka, the Sunken Seas

Lushaka, the Sunken Seas

2-Pc: Increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. If the wearer is not the first character in the team lineup, then increase the ATK of the first character in the team lineup by 12%.

Recommended Main & Sub Stats

For Main Stats, Players should aim for these main stats on their Relics & Ornaments:

  • Body: Atk%
  • Feet: Speed or Attack%
  • Planar Sphere: Attack%
  • Link Rope: Energy Regeneration%

For Sub Stats, Players should aim for these sub stats for all of Robin’s Relics & Ornaments Pieces:

Attack% = Attack > Speed > All Other Stats

It is important to note that there are a few stats benchmarks players should hit when building Robin in order to ensure that she can reach her fullest potential in battle:

  • You should aim to give Robin as many Attack Stats as possible due to the fact that her Ultimate buff scales proportionally to her own Attack stat, the higher her Attack stat is, the better the buff she provides to all allies.
  • Robin doesn’t really need Speed stats, however, if players want her to use her skill more often to get her Ultimate up quicker, you can invest in her speed stat somewhat.

Best Robin Teams

As Robin is an extremely versatile and powerful support character that can boost allies Attack and Critical Damage stat and advance the action of all allies, she can be slotted into various different team comps that need those stats.

The best premium team that Robin fits in is of course, the Follow Up Attack team with:

A Follow Up Attack Main DPS + Follow Up Attack Sub DPS + Robin + Sustain

Best Robin Teams

Explanation:

  • Follow Up Attack Main DPS: As Robin provides the most buffs for the Follow Up Attack team thanks to her talent and additional abilities, the Follow Up Attack Main DPS will be the one that benefits the most out of all Robin’s buffs. The best characters to fit this role are: Feixiao, Dr. Ratio and Jade.
  • Sub DPS: The sub DPS slot should also be someone who utilizes Follow Up Attacks as their main source of damage to supplement the damage dealt by the main DPS in order to be able to clear harder contents. Characters that fits this role are: Topaz, Moze, March 7th (Hunt).
  • Support: The Support slot in this team falls on Robin as she will be the main damage boosting character that will help increases the damage dealt by all allies by a massive amount while also providing them with a sizable Crit Damage boost.
  • Sustain: For the sustain spot, players should consider characters that also have Follow Up Attacks as their main sources of damage and gimmick like Lingsha or Aventurine so that they can also take full advantage of all of Robin’s buffs.

Conclusion
