Overview

Yunli is a 5-star character from the Physical element who follows the Path of Destruction. A sword hunter from the Xianzhou Zhuming and "the Flaming Heart" General Huaiyan's darling granddaughter. Frank and straightforward.

She practiced swordsmanship and forging from Huaiyan since young, and thus is the second-youngest prodigy swordmaster of the Flamewheel Octet.

 

Playstyle

Yunli basic attack is only a single target attack without special, however her skill is a blast attack that also heals herself which it helps her self sustain, especially when she is absorbing a lot of enemy hits.

From her Talent Trace when Yunli gets attacked by an enemy she regenerates an additional 15 energy and launches a counter blast attack, which also counts as follow-up attack damage.

Getting hit is important, not only to trigger her counter but because it's also her primary method of recharging her ultimate which lets het unleash a much stronger Counterattack.

Each stack of Firedance increases the DMG dealt by the wearer's follow-up attack by 36%/42%/48%/54%/60%.

Dance at Sunset is Yunli's best in slot signature light cone since it greatly increase Yunli's aggro.

Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 18%/21%/24%/27%/30% and increases their Max HP by 18%/21%/24%/27%/30%. After the wearer is attacked or consumes their own HP, increases the wearer's DMG by 24%/28%/32%/36%/40%. This effect is removed after the wearer uses an attack.

The Unreachable Side is an excellent Light Cone for Yunli since it increases her CRIT Rate and HP. It also provides a DMG boost whenever she gets attacked which synergizes well with her kit.

Something Irreplaceable is a good 5-Star Light Cone option for Yunli because it improves her ATK and boosts her DMG when she defeats an enemy or gets hit. The additional healing is also a nice bonus.

On the Fall of an Aeon is the best free lighT cone for Yunli since it provides her CRIT DMG and the Firedance effect, which boosts her Follow-Up Attack DMG. But it is highly desired by other Destruction units so if you don't have many light cone options, sharing it can be a problem.

Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 6%. When the wearer uses a follow-up attack, increases the DMG dealt by Ultimate by 36%, lasting for 1 turn(s).

The Wind-Soaring Valorous gives useful attack and its crit rate bonues for big ult damage is perfect.

Champion of Streetwise Boxing x4 Recommendation：⭐⭐⭐⭐

After the wearer attacks or is hit, their ATK increases by 5% for the rest of the battle. This effect can stack up to 5 time(s).

*Older players might already have a really good set.

The Ashblazing Grand Duke x4 Recommendation：⭐⭐⭐⭐

When the wearer uses follow-up attacks, increase the wearer's ATK by 6% every time the follow-up attack deals DMG. This effect can stack for a maximum of 8 time(s) and lasts for 3 turn(s). This effect is removed the next time the wearer uses a follow-up attack.

Increases CRIT Rate by 4%. The wearer deals 8%/12% increased CRIT DMG to enemies with at least 2/3 debuffs. After the wearer inflicts a debuff on enemy targets, the aforementioned effects increase by 100%, lasting for 1 turn(s).

2.Planar Ornaments

Inert Salsotto x2 Recommendation：⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer's current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer's Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15%.

Inert Salsotto is currently Yunli's best Ornament since it increases both her Follow-up attack and Ultimate DMG.

Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves x2 Recommendation：⭐⭐⭐⭐

When allies use follow-up attacks, the wearer gains 1 stack of Merit, stacking up to 5 times. Each stack of Merit increases the DMG dealt by the wearer's follow-up attacks by 5%. When there are 5 stacks, additionally increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 25%.

Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves is best used if Yunli is on a team with Follow-up attackers.

Tingyun is an amazing four-star support for her thanks to her strong buffs and very useful energy battery ability that helps with Yunli's ultimate reliability. She's more suited in a hyper carry team due to her single Target Buffs.

Huohuo has attack Buffs and Battery utility for higher damage and more frequent ultimate casts. On top of her persistent heels and cleanse which makes her a really good sustain and buffing hybrid support.

Robin generally works as an teammate around Harmony support as her damage and advanced mechanics have great universal application. Due to her team wide damage Buffs, she lends herself very well to buffing teams with multiple damage dealers but is of course still very capable of buffing hypercarry teams.

 

Double Carry Setup

Lynx can spam her skill for constant aggro uptime and fast ults. If you ever need SP, Yunli can just basic attack and not lose out on much damage.

Is Yunli Worth Pulling?

Yunli is extremely powerful especially when you line up the buffs of all the allies such as Robin's skill and Tingyun's ultimate, which help to amplify Yunli's damage even further.

If you are lacking DPS characters, Yunli is a great pickup overall. But if you do have a bunch of DPS characters on your account already, you may not need her.
