What is Synergy?

Synergy is a powerful battlefield buff that grants special attributes to heroes. Different types of synergy provide unique bonuses and require a certain number of heroes to activate. Deploying multiple heroes with the same synergy trait triggers synergy effects. The more heroes sharing the same synergy, the higher its level—leading to stronger battle boosts!

Boosting synergy is one of the best strategies to dominate the battlefield! However, keep in mind that duplicate heroes do not increase the synergy count, even if they share the same synergy type. So, when building your lineup, choosing a variety of heroes wisely is more important than simply stacking the same ones!

Synergy can be Categorized into Attack, Defense, and Strategic, each providing different battle advantages:

Attack: Boost a hero’s attack power, either directly or indirectly. It enhances key battle stats like physical attack, magic attack, attack speed, HP, armor shred, damage, true damage, hybrid HP (physical and magic), and mana recovery.

Defense: Enhance a hero’s survivability through shields, healing, or resistances. It boosts defense stats like physical defense, magic defense, shields, and shared HP.

Strategic: Grant unique effects like extra equipment, bonus EXP, revival, and summoning. It can impact score gains based on wins/defeat or even restore the commander’s HP each round.

 

Synergy in Two Types

Synergy is divided into two types: Faction Synergy and Role Synergy. Typically, each hero has both a Faction Synergy and a Role Synergy.

Pay attention to the text on a hero’s portrait—it shows which synergy they belong to. Your heroes can activate multiple synergy effects at the same time. Experiment with different combinations, and you might discover game-changing strategies! Maximize the power of synergy to gain the strongest buffs and dominate the board!

There are 9 types of Faction Synergy in total.

  • Moniyan Plains

Moniyan Empire heroes gain increased ATK Speed, and each time they slay an enemy hero, they gain extra Physical ATK boost temporarily.

Moniyan Plains

  • Northern Vale

Northern Vale heroes apply a Winter Mark to their targets when they deal damage. Every time an enemy reaches a certain stacks of Winter Marks on them, the next damage they take will detonate the Ice Crystal attack, dealing True DMG and resetting the stack.

At the start of battle, a Dragon Altar Hero gains Hybrid DEF and deals Extra DMG, Dragon Altar Heroes gain additional bonuses.

Early on, prioritize Dragon Altar heroes like Zilong, Ling, and Wanwan for a solid frontline and fast damage output. As the game progresses, add Marksmen like Claude, Irithel, and Moskov to maximize ATK Speed and DEF reduction. At 6 Mages, this combo delivers massive burst damage and sustain, making it ideal for wiping out enemies fast. Necrokeep + Weapon Master Synergy
