What is Alliance?

An Alliance is a guild-like system that unites players to collaborate on resource gathering, tech research, territory expansion, and events. Joining or creating an alliance unlocks benefits like protection from attacks, exclusive rewards, and buffs that boost your city and troops. Alliances are essential for mid-to-late-game progression, especially in PvP and alliance-specific events like the Alliance Championship or Bear Hunt.

How to Join an Alliance

Requirement: Reach Furnace Level 7 to unlock the Alliance feature.

The alliance icon will appear at the bottom of the screen as soon as you hit the level. By clicking this icon, you are offered with the option of forming or joining an alliance.

When navigating to the Alliance Power section, carefully evaluate your options to maximize benefits. Below are some key factors to consider:

Alliance Level (Currently Max: 11)

Higher levels unlock better daily rewards and perks, so you may prioritize alliances near or at the cap for optimal gains.

Member Count vs. Strength

Larger alliances often provide more resources, events, and growth opportunities.

But don’t overlook smaller alliances! Some punch above their weight with advanced cities and elite troops.

Activity & Culture

Check chat frequency and event participation—active alliances accelerate progress.

How to Creat an Alliance

Requirement: Reach Furnace Level 10 & Cost 400 Gems if below Furnace Level 10

Creating a new alliance requires substantial time investment and strategic effort, especially when competing against entrenched, high-powered rivals. But the payoff for breaking into the top 10 alliances is transformative:

Competitive Shift: Top-tier alliances operate under NAP (Non-Aggression Pact) agreements, securing mutual protection for cities and farm accounts.

Stability at the Summit: These pacts reduce random attacks, letting members focus on growth and coordinated conquests.

Alliance Structure

Alliance Level

Alliances have a leveling system that unlocks features and increases capacity, reflecting their growth and activity.

All alliances begin at Level 1 to Max Level 11

How to Level Up: Members can contribute resources (meat, wood, coal, iron) and gems to Alliance Tech, complete daily missions and events to earns Alliance XP. Most importantly, active participation from all members drives faster leveling.

Benefits by Level: Higher levels unlock advanced features like Bear Hunt, Alliance Headquarters (HQ) construction, and increased member capacity.

Alliance Ranks

Alliances use a tiered rank system (R0 to R5) to organize members and assign permissions. Ranks determine the authority and responsibilities within the group. Below are details for each rank:

Alliance Ranks

R5: Exclusive to the founder or transferred leader

Permissions: Full control, including all R4 rights, plus Build/relocate Alliance HQ; Transfer leadership to another member; Disband or rename the alliance; Change the alliance tag/banner.

Responsibility: Sets the alliance’s direction and strategy.

R4: High-ranking assistants to the leader.

Permissions: All previous rights, plus: Kick R1-R3 members; Edit alliance settings; Start Alliance Tech research; Build alliance buildings; Manage lane assignments in events like the Championship.

Limit: Multiple R4s can be appointed by R5

R3: Mid-tier rank for trusted, active players.

Permissions: All R1/R2 rights, plus promote/demote R1-R2 members.

Role: Assists in minor management tasks.

R2: Slightly higher prestige, active contributors.

Permissions: Same as R1, plus ability to send alliance-wide messages but no tangible power increase over R1.

R1: Basic, Entry-level rank for accepted members.

Permissions: Participate in events, use Alliance Help, donate to tech, access territory buffs but no management rights.

Territory & Buildings

Alliance Territory is the land controlled by your alliance on the world map, offering strategic and resource benefits to members who settle within it. It is established and expanded by building Alliance Headquarters (HQ) and Banners.

HQ (Icefield) is the first HQ, built at no resource cost initially, anchors your territory.

HQ (Tundra) is the second HQ unlocked later via tech research, expandable into the fog-covered Tundra after server progression.

Headquarters (HQ)

Banners: Extend territory by connecting to the HQ or other banners. Each banner’s perimeter must overlap with another to grow the area. You can construct a banner by clicking on any case from the world > build > banner.

Other Key Buildings

Hunting Traps: Boost defense and morale.

Prestige Buildings: These are unique structures that can be built by achieving specific objectives, such performing well in the Alliance Championship. They bestow a variety of advantages, including increased resource-gathering speed.

Alliance Bomb: Clears obstacles (beasts, nodes) to free space.

Alliance Gathering Node: One Alliance Gathering Node may be positioned by an alliance at a time. These are 12 hours long, attack-proof, and can be constructed for any of the four primary resources. Troops can be sent here by any number of alliance members.

Resource Locations: These structures are not built; instead, they are encircled within your area and taken. Alliance resources are auto-collected hourly from nodes within territory.

Benefits of Alliance Territory

Alliance Tech Contributions

Alliance Tech is a research system that improves alliance-wide buffs and unlocks features, requiring member contributions.

There are three tech trees:

Growth: Boosts member capacity, resource production

Territory: Enhances gathering speed, territory buffs

Battle: Improves troop stats, march size

Each contribution costs resources and gives the alliance 100 Alliance EXP, the player 100 Alliance Tokens, and the tech 100 Contribution Points. Alliance Resources can be used to research the technology once sufficient points have been earned.

Contribution Process:

  • Donate via the “Contribute” button (e.g., 10k meat = 10 points).
  • R4/R5 start research once donations meet the threshold.
  • Earn Alliance Tokens (e.g., 1 token per 1k resources donated) and XP.

Each tech has multiple levels (e.g., 1-10), with higher levels requiring more resources.

Alliance Help Feature

One of the most useful features in this Whiteout Survival Alliance Guide is the Help option, especially in the early stages of a new State when study and building time is limited.

With the use of this function, you can ask your alliance members for help expediting research or building projects. The timer is lowered by a set amount with each help, and this amount rises as your alliance gains tech.

Alliance Tech upgrades can also boost the quantity of assistance you can obtain, which makes it a crucial component for quick advancement.

Conclusion

Mastering alliances in Whiteout Survival is your key to survival and supremacy. From joining in the Allicance, securing R4/R5 ranks to expanding territory, maxing out tech contributions and winning the Alliance Championship, every step strengthens your alliance—and your Squad Power.
