Skill Priorities for Evelyn
Evelyn's role is that of a strong attacker focused on heavy Fire DMG. Her damage output process begins with
- Entering the Binding Seal, which grants her up to a 25% critical hit rate,
- Accumulating Burning Embers, and once it reaches 50, it is converted into 1 Burning Tether Point,
- Accumulating 3 Burning Tether Point allows her to unleash a Chain Attack that deals significant damage.
Based on the above, efficiently accumulating Burning Tether Point is the key to playing Evelyn well. Completing one set of basic attacks allows Evelyn to accumulate 50 Burning Embers.
Additionally, triggering a perfect dodge with her special skill will grant an extra 25%. Evelyn's Lunalux - Snare can directly grant 1 Burning Tether Point, and during its activation, 1 Burning Tether Point will be retained, meaning her damage output originally based on three points is now reduced to two points.
Therefore, Evelyn's skill enhancement priority is as follows:
Core > Chain Attack > Basic Attack = Special Attack > Assist > Dodge.

Evelyn’s Best W-Engines
Signature W-Engine: Heartstring Nocturne
There is no doubt that Evelyn’s signature W-Engine “Heartstring Nocturne” suits her best.
This W-engine can bring a 713 base attack and a 24% increased CRIT Rate to Evelyn.
String & Melody: Critical damage is increased by 50%. When the wearer enters the battlefield or activates a Chain Attack or Ultimate, they gain 1 stack of [Heartstring]. Each stack of [Heartstring] causes the wearer’s Chain Attack and Ultimate to ignore 12.5% of the target's Fire Resistance, with a maximum of 2 stacks. The effect lasts for 30 seconds, and the duration is refreshed if triggered again.
Heartstring Nocturne's subtext can take the pressure off of Evelyn's gear, and the weapon effect provides an elemental damage bonus that fits perfectly with both Evelyn's positioning and skill mechanics.
Brimstone
Brimstone, Soldier 11’s signature weapon, can also be equipped by Evelyn.
This W-engine can bring a 684 base attack and a 30% increased ATK.
This W-Engine’s subtext is an attack power percentage of 30% (full refinement) that provides direct output damage to Evelyn. The weapon effect boosts the damage of the equipper's Basic Attack, Dodge, and Dash attack by 15%.
Marcato Desire
As for A-rank weapons, Marcato Desire is one of the best options for Evelyn. Since it's an event-exclusive weapon, is relatively low in difficulty to obtain.
It offers a 594 Base ATK and 20% increased CRIT Rate (Level 60).
When an EX Special Attack or Chain Attack hits an enemy, the equipper's ATK increases by 9.6% for 8s. While the target is under an Attribute Anomaly, this effect is increased by an additional 9.6%.
When Evelyn uses this weapon, it boosts CRIT Rate and damage on Special Attacks and Chain Attacks. Especially, it can provide additional damage when targets are inflicted with Attribute Anomaly effects. You can pair up Burnice when using this weapon to maximize this weapon’s effects.
Cannon Rotor
The Cannon Rotor can be obtained through the Major Monthly Card.
It provides 594 Base ATK and a 20% CRIT Rate bonus. It serves as an excellent alternative when you do not have the above-mentioned weapons.

Evelyn’s Best Drive Disc Sets
As a fire-attack character, Evelyn's DMG ability can be greatly enhanced with a reasonable combination of drive discs, and the following are a few sets of practical drive discs for you to recommend.
Woodpecker Electro x4 and Branch & Blade Song x2 DPS Set
Woodpecker Electro 4-piece set will land a critical hit on an enemy with a Basic Attack, Dodge Counter, or EX Special Attack increases the equipper's ATK by 9% for 6s, and the duration will be calculated for each move. In combat, as long as a crit is triggered, the ATK buff can be continuously stacked, making Evelyn's subsequent damage output higher.
The Branch & Blade Song set provides Evelyn with a 16% critical rate increase.
In this setup, the Woodpecker Electro can also be replaced with Inferno Metal.
Inferno Metal x4 and Woodpecker Electro x2 DPS Set
If you don't have the Signature W-Engine and your team has two or more Fire-type characters, it's recommended to use a 4-piece Inferno Metal and a 2-piece Woodpecker Electro set.
This ensures full coverage of Burning, allowing Evelyn to fully benefit from the critical rate bonus. Equipping the Inferno Metal and upon hitting a Burning enemy, the equipper's CRIT Rate is increased by 28% for 8s. This mechanic is highly suited for Evelyn, and the Woodpecker Electro further boosts her critical rate.

Evelyn Best Teams
Evelyn needs to stand for long time to deal damage, so it's best to have teammates who are support characters with quick-cutting abilities. When there are [Stun] or [Support] characters in your team, you can also trigger Evelyn's Additional Ability: Ambush Point to increase the damage dealt by her Chain Attack and Ultimate DMG by 30%.
Therefore, we recommend the following matchups:
Evelyn + Lighter + Astra Yao
This is a superb lineup for the second half of version 1.5, with Astra Yao and Lighter giving support to Evelyn at the same time. This lineup is centered around energy consumption for output.
Astra Yao provides a significant 20% damage boost and 25% critical rate increase. After activating her ultimate, she transforms two quick support actions into chain attack, which perfectly complements Evelyn’s damage-dealing style. Both characters belong to the same faction, Stars of Lyra faction, allowing for stable activation of the Bangboos Snap’s additional effect.
Lighter offers a 75% fire damage boost and a 15% debuff resistance reduction, with the added benefit of extended imbalance time, resulting in a 3-second stun duration, making this team mechanically flawless.
If you don't have Astra Yao, Lucy can be used as a substitute. And If you don’t have Lighter, Koleda is also a viable option.
Evelyn + Caesar + Astra Yao
In this team, Evelyn's survivability is greatly enhanced.
Caesar can use her Radiant Aegis Shield to protect Evelyn, addressing the issue of her being interrupted while dealing damage, while also applying negative debuffs to the enemies.
Astra Yao not only provides substantial healing, but also synergizes with Evelyn through her Moonlit Frenzy ability, delivering additional damage.
Evelyn + Qingyi + Astra Yao
Although both Evelyn and Qingyi are front-line characters, Qingyi's 80% Imbalance Vulnerability multiplier is highly effective. And with Astra Yao's healing, the overall synergy works very well.
In this setup, you first use Evelyn to hold the front line, accumulating energy and Burning Embers. Then, switch to Qingyi to trigger Imbalance, and return to Evelyn to unleash a linked attack for damage, with Astra Yao providing support.
As a limited S-ranked Fire DPS character, Evelyn can be considered an upgraded replacement for Soldier 11. She not only provides stable output while holding the front line but also has burst damage capabilities. If your team lacks a main Fire DPS character or if Soldier 11's build is not enough, and you plan to develop a Fire-based team for upcoming content, Evelyn is an excellent choice!
