Hello, fellow travelers. Have you finished exploring the current Natlan map yet? If not, how far along are you in your exploration so far? The new nation of Natlan has brought us numerous surprises, especially the two new characters, Maviuka and Citlali.
Great news! In Phase 2, we will also see Arlecchino, the Fatui Harbinger from Fontaine, and a new character, Lan Yan! Here is some information about version 5.3!
Phase 1 banners:
New 5-star characters: Mavuika & Citlali
Rerun 4-star characters: Kachina, Bennett, and Diona
Maviuka
- Character Introduction: Maviuka is the Pyro Archon of Natlan2. She has long, wavy red hair that flows down her back and is dressed in a black outfit with gold and red accents, tight-fitting pants with a belt featuring a circular buckle, and thigh-high boots with red heels. She also wears sleek, rimless sunglasses to protect her red eyes with star-shaped pupils.
- Role and Abilities: She is a 5-star fire element claymore user. In combat, her unique riding state gives her high mobility, allowing her to move freely on land, water, and climb mountain walls1. Her elemental skill has two modes. The tap "Fire Ring" mode can trigger fire damage every 2 seconds and attach a weak fire effect, while the long-press "Motor" mode is for front-line output, and her normal attacks, heavy strikes and dash attacks can apply weak fire1. Her ultimate move can cause large-scale fire damage and activate the "Furnace of Life and Death" state1.
- Character Story: She is actually the Pyro Archon 500 years ago during the cataclysm. She negotiated with the heroes of various tribes and formulated a five-hundred-year rescue plan for Natlan. To ensure Natlan's full revival five hundred years later, she stored her life in the Sacred Flame and sacrificed her life in the past to wake up again in the present with a "second life" to advance the plan.
Citlali
- Character Introduction: Citlali is a Cryo user and a great priestess in Natlan, known for her proficiency in rituals and divination2. She has the title of "Witch" and "Obsidian Grandma"2.
- Role and Abilities: She is a catalyst user and can provide shields for her team.
- Character Story2: The name "Citlali" comes from the Nahuatl language, meaning "star", and the corresponding mythological figure is the Aztec creation goddess "Citlalicue", also known as "Citlalinicue" and "Ilamatecuh". She invented the item "Spiritual Awareness Marrow Stone", which played an important role in the story.
Phase 2 banners:
Rerun 5-star characters: Arlecchino & Clorinde
New 4-star character: Lan Yan (Anemo, Catalyst)
other rerun 4-star characters: Chevreuse, Rosaria
If you missed Arlecchino, the Fatui Harbinger in Fontaine, here comes your chance for a rerun. Her DPS is comparable to that of Neuvillette, making her one of the top-tier and popular damage dealers in Genshin Impact currently. Besides, the new character Lan Yan is also worth looking forward to. Although she isn't a new 5-star character, her functionality is excellent as she is a utility-based character.
Lan Yan Skills
Normal Attack: Black Pheasant Strides on Water
- Lan Yan wields her ring blades and can perform up to 4 attacks, dealing Anemo damage.
- Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of stamina to throw out a ring blade, dealing Anemo damage.
- Plunging Attack: Plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path and dealing AOE Anemo damage upon impact with the ground.
Elemental Skill: Phoenix-Wisp Pinion Dance
- Lan Yan summons the Phoenix-Wisp Shield, a secret art passed down across generations, and dashes forward. Upon making contact with her target, she will leap back into the air. The Phoenix-Wisp Shield's damage absorption scales based on her ATK and has a 250% absorption efficiency against Anemo damage.
- While in mid-air due to the effects of this skill, pressing the Elemental Skill button again or pressing Normal Attack will cause Lan Yan to hurl her Feathermoon Rings at an opponent. They will spin between nearby opponents twice upon hit, dealing Anemo damage.
- Holding the skill will enter aiming mode to adjust the dash direction.
- When the dash hits an opponent and interacts with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro, the Phoenix-Wisp Shield will undergo elemental conversion, with the converted shield absorbing damage from the corresponding element with 250% efficiency. Additionally, the Feathermoon Rings she throws at her foes will additionally deal elemental damage equal to 50% of the original in the corresponding elemental type, and this damage is considered Elemental Skill damage.
Elemental Burst: Lustrous Moonrise
- Lan Yan creates a Feathermoon Swallow Array, pulling in nearby opponents and objects and dealing multiple instances of AOE Anemo damage, functioning similarly to Venti's burst in pulling in objects and enemies.
Passive Talents
- Four Sealing Divination Blades: When the Elemental Skill's dash hits an opponent and interacts with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro, the Phoenix-Wisp Shield will undergo elemental conversion, with the converted shield absorbing damage from the corresponding element with 250% efficiency. Additionally, if this use of the Elemental Skill causes the Phoenix-Wisp Shield to undergo elemental conversion, the Feathermoon Rings Lan Yan throws at her foes additionally deal elemental damage equal to 50% of the original in the corresponding elemental type, and this damage is considered Elemental Skill damage.
- Skyfeather Evil-Subduing Charm: The Elemental Skill Phoenix-Wisp Pinion Dance and the Elemental Burst Lustrous Moonrise deal increased damage equal to 309% and 774% of Lan Yan's Elemental Mastery respectively.
Constellations
- C1: As One Might Stride Betwixt the Clouds: After triggering the elemental conversion from the passive talent "Four Sealing Divination Blades", this instance of Lan Yan's Elemental Skill Phoenix-Wisp Pinion Dance will produce another Feathermoon Ring when they are thrown at opponents.
- C2: Dance Vestments Billow like Rainbow Jade: While the Phoenix-Wisp Shield is active, when your active party member's normal attacks deal damage, 40% of the shield's damage absorption will be restored, up to its original maximum absorption. This effect can occur once every 2s.
- C3: On White Wings Pierce through Cloud and Fog: Increases the level of Phoenix-Wisp Pinion Dance by 3.
- C4: With Drakefalcon's Blood-Pearls Adorned: After Lan Yan uses her Elemental Burst Lustrous Moonrise, the Elemental Mastery of all nearby party members increases by 60 for 12s.
- C5: Having Met You, My Heart is Gladdened: Increases the level of Lustrous Moonrise by 3.
- C6: Let Us Away on Sylphic Wing, the Silvered Ornaments to Ring: Phoenix-Wisp Pinion Dance gains 1 additional charge.
