Castorice Gameplay
Castorice is a main DPS whose core damage-dealing method is summoning the Memosprite Netherwing and making it self-destruct. Her core gameplay involves using methods such as actively sacrificing HP, restoring HP, and taking damage to provide special energy for her talent. When the special energy points reach a certain value, Castorice can activate her Ultimate to summon the Netherwing for damage output.
When Netherwing is not on the battlefield, Castorice's basic skill mainly serves to accelerate the cycle by sacrificing the HP of all allies. It's worth noting that Memosprites also have their HP sacrificed, so Castorice has a significant advantage when paired with Trailblazer.
When Netherwing is on the battlefield, Castorice's skill is enhanced and can perform a EX attack. Castorice's HP sacrifice doesn't provide special energy but is converted into Netherwing's HP.
Netherwing has three ways of dealing damage: one is a simple claw strike; the second is to continuously breathe fire by consuming its own HP, and the damage gradually increases; the third is that Netherwing will self-destruct when it disappears.

Castorice Team Composition Strategy
Based on the above mechanisms, Castorice's game strategy lies in the cycle of special energy. The faster the cycle, the higher the damage. When forming a team with Castorice, the following aspects need to be considered:
- HP Sacrifice: When choosing Relics, more consideration can be given to HP-related stats. Tribbie has a natural advantage in HP when joining the team. If the support character can provide healing, the higher the healing frequency and amount, the better. The entire team needs to maintain a relatively high HP level.
- HP Restoration: There is a high demand for healers. It is advisable to choose healers who can restore HP through multiple means, such as off-turn attack-based HP restoration, action-based HP restoration, and HP restoration when hitting enemies. Currently, Gallagher and Luocha are good choices. Hyacine, who will be released in version 3.3, is expected to be the healer most suitable for Castorice's mechanism.
- Taking Damage: In an environment with a large number of enemies and high-frequency attacks, Castorice benefits more. When choosing Relics, defense-related stats can be ignored.

Castorice Best Teams
Tribbie, Castorice, Sunday, Gallagher/Luocha
Tribbie (Support): Tribbie is currently a necessary option for Castorice's team.
It combines high HP and support capabilities, providing rare all-attribute resistance penetration and an increased-vulnerability buff. It can also trigger healing through additional attacks. Tribbie's high-frequency follow-up attacks can provide a large amount of healing to charge Castorice's energy.
Castorice (DPS): Castorice charges her ultimate skill through changes in the HP of characters in the team. Once fully charged, she activates the ultimate to summon Netherwing for damage output.
In addition, Castorice's off-field skill can provide a resurrection effect for a character in the team.
Sunday (Support): Netherwing cannot benefit from Sunday's buffs, but Sunday's turn-advance and energy-restoration abilities can allow Castorice to trigger EX skills multiple times, which can be used to clear mobs and charge Netherwing, increasing the number of times Netherwing can breathe fire.
Gallagher/Luocha (Healer): Gallagher and Luocha are currently the most suitable healers for Castorice.
- In the future, Hyacine in version 3.3 will also perform outstandingly.
- When there are only 1-2 enemies or in simulated universe gameplay, Luocha performs better;
- when there are three or more enemies, Gallagher is more useful.
Tips: In this team, Castorice should activate her ultimate before Sunday takes action.
- First, Netherwing breathes fire, then uses the claw strike.
- After that, use Sunday to advance the turn, so that both Castorice and Netherwing can benefit from Sunday's buffs.
- After Castorice advances the turn, use the EX skill to restore Netherwing's HP, allowing Netherwing to continuously breathe fire and then self-destruct.
Note that do not let Sunday advance the turn first and then Castorice summon Netherwing, as in this case, Netherwing cannot benefit from the buffs, and Castorice's damage increase is only 30%.

Tribbie, Castorice, Trailblazer, Gallagher/Luocha
Trailblazer (Support): The advantage of Trailblazer is that it can ensure Netherwing fully benefits from buffs without having to consider buff coverage.
Trailblazer has the natural advantage of having its own Memosprite. Changes in the Memosprite's HP can also charge Castorice's ultimate skill and provide multiple buffs such as turn-advance, critical rate, critical damage, and damage increase.
Tribbie, Castorice, Mydei, Gallagher/Luocha
Mydei (DPS): Mydei and Castorice can form a dual-DPS team. However, due to the lack of turn-advance in the team, the actual combat operation space is limited.
The mechanism is somewhat similar to the early dual-DPS combination of Jingliu and Blade. It can be played, and the actual combat results are acceptable, but the cost-performance ratio is not high.
Alternative Choices
Ruan Mei Replaces Tribbie: F2P Team
Ruan Mei is a substitute for Tribbie. When paired with Castorice's Signature weapon, the defense-reduction stacking can partially catch up in terms of damage, but it is difficult to match Tribbie's follow-up attack mechanism.
- Ruan Mei can be obtained by logging in during events.
- Trailblazer has no acquisition cost.
- As a 4-star character, Gallagher has an increased acquisition probability when Castorice's banner is available, making it easy to obtain.
Therefore, the team of Castorice+Trailblazer+Ruan Mei+Gallagher is very suitable for F2P players.
Hyacine Replaces Gallagher/Luocha: Better Choice in HSR Version 3.3
Hyacine is an upgrade over Gallagher/Luocha. She is a healer of the Remembrance Path who will be released in HSR version 3.3.
Not only can she heal herself, but her Memosprite also has healing abilities, breaking the limitation that there was no healer in the Remembrance Path.
At the same time, Hyacine has a high speed, and her healing amount is greatly increased after speed-up.
You can click to learn about Hyacine's kits. She will be a healer more suitable for Castorice's mechanism.
Castorice vs. The Herta?
Some Trailblazers may worry about the issue of Castorice and The Herta competing for support characters. If you have either Tribbie or Sunday as a support character, this problem will not occur.
- If you only have Tribbie, then use The Herta+Tribbie, and for Castorice, use Trailblazer and Ruan Mei.
- If you only have Sunday, then use The Herta+Trailblazer, and for Castorice, use Sunday and Ruan Mei.
- If you have neither Tribbie nor Sunday, then use The Herta with Robin and Sparkle, and for Castorice, use Trailblazer and Ruan Mei.
Conclusion
Generally speaking, currently, Castorice's team combinations are relatively fixed.
- The first support character, Tribbie, is quite important, and only Ruan Mei can be used as a substitute.
- The second support character can be chosen as Sunday or Trailblazer according to the cultivation situation.
- Castorice's "HP-sacrifice & HP-restoration" mechanism has high requirements for the amount of healing. A survival-oriented character must be included in the team. Gallagher, Luocha, and Hyacine in version 3.3 will be excellent choices.
- If you want to play a dual-DPS team, Mydei can be used, This comp deals decent damage, but it's not a cost-effective choice.
