Release Time
Genshin Impact Version 5.5 is expected to release on March 26, 2025(UTC+8).
5.5 banner phases
According to the latest leaked information, 5.5 banners will be split into two phases as follows：
- Phase 1:
Varesa (5★ Electro Catalyst, New)
Xianyun (5★ Anemo Catalyst, Rerun)
- Phase 2:
Xilonen (5★ Geo Sword, Rerun)
Venti (5★ Anemo Bow, Rerun)
Additionally, it's reported that the 4-star characters Iansan (NEW! Electro, Polearm), Gaming, Faruzan, Beidou, Yanfei will also join the banners.

New Characters：Varesa & Iansan
Varesa
In the game, Varesa is a member of the Collective of Plenty, and she's been described as a big appetizer. Positioned as a limited 5-star Electro Catalyst user, Varesa specializes in dealing damage through Plunging Attacks.
As for Varesa's kit, she can provide powerful outputs through：
- Her normal attack launches up to 3 strikes dealing Electro DMG.
- Charged attack headbutts foes with stamina consumption and deals Nightsoul-aligned Electro DMG.
- Plunging attack damages along the path and gains Nightsoul points. In Fiery Passion state, all these attacks get enhanced.
- Her elemental skill "Riding the Night-Rainbow" can rush forward dealing damage and has different effects based on tap or hold.
- Elemental burst "A Dazzling Descent!" unleashes a flying kick dealing AoE Electro DMG and restores Nightsoul points to max while entering Fiery Passion state.

Iansan
Iansan, who has been an important NPC during the Natlan story arc, will join the 5.5 version banner as a 4-star Electro Polearm character.
Iansan's gameplay revolves around the unique Nightsoul mechanic, which enhances her mobility and power.
- Charged Attack and Swift Stormflight deal AoE Electro damage
- Elemental Skill and Burst generate and restore Nightsoul points, boosting her abilities.

Rerun Characters: Xianyun, Xilonen & Venti
Xianyun
Xianyun is a 5-star Anemo Catalyst character, who is best built as a Plunging Attack support.
She can enables a Plunge Attack playstyle for any member of the party, providing significant damage buffs for such setups, so that she would be a perfect fit for Varesa’s team.
She also offers healing for all party members, making her an excellent pairing with Furina. Her ATK scaling enhances all aspects of her kit, including healing, buffs, and damage, allowing her to prioritize Energy Recharge to maximize her Elemental Burst uptime.
Additionally, she boosts CRIT Rate for all party members when enemies are hit by her Elemental Skill, and her exploration ability makes it easier to reach high areas.
Xilonen
Xilonen is a support character who can provide multi-Elemental RES reduction. Depending on the party composition, she can also deal DMG while on the field.
The gameplay of Xilonen is as follows：
- Using Elemental Skill triggers the Nightsoul's Blessing state. The Nightsoul's Blessing state decreases the corresponding Elemental RES of nearby opponents based on the Elemental Types of your party members.
- While decreasing Geo RES, Normal and Plunging Attacks deal increased DMG.
- Her Elemental Burst deals AoE Geo DMG.
- Based on the party composition, Elemental Burst will either continuously heal the active character or deal two additional instances of DMG.

5.5 New Artifact Sets
Genshin Impact Version 5.5 will introduce two new Artifact sets: Long Night's Oath and Finale of the Deep Galleries.
Long Night's Oath
2-Pc: Plunging Attack DMG increased by 25%.
4-Pc: After the equipping character's Plunging Attack/Charged Attack/Elemental Skill hits an opponent, they will gain 1/2/2 stack(s) of "Radiance Everlasting." Plunging Attacks, Charged Attacks, or Elemental Skills can each trigger this effect once every 1s. Radiance Everlasting: Plunging Attacks deal 15% increased DMG for 6s. Max 5 stacks. Each stack's duration is counted independently.
Finale of the Deep Galleries
2-Pc: Cryo DMG Bonus +15%
4-Pc: When the character has 0 Energy, Normal Attack DMG and Elemental Burst DMG are both increased by 60%.
After dealing Normal Attack DMG, the Elemental Burst bonus stops for 6s, and after dealing Elemental Burst DMG, the Normal Attack bonus stops for 6s. This effect can trigger even if the character is off the field.
